Riverbend Environmental Center Nature Club

When one of the neighborhood Moms asked if anyone was interested in participating in nature classes for the kiddos, my ears perked up right away. Xavier would LIVE in a tent outside if I let him. Where do we sign?

Riverbend Environmental Education Center is located in Gladwynne, Pennsylvania and aims to teach environmental principles to children through direct connection with their natural world. And that’s just what we did for the last 8 weeks.

Every Saturday morning from 9am-10am, Xavier and Mike would trail off to discover slimey snakes, frogs, turtles, chipmunks and other little critters among the trails. I normally used this time for my weekly unwind, but I decided to go with them to the final class and am so happy I got to play in the creek with my boys. Xavier was so excited to introduce me to his teacher, Mr. Dave, and the beautiful grounds.

Come explore with us!
